FormStep is a shoe insole that moulds itself precisely to the shape of your foot whilst inside the shoe. It is based on a TPU film filled with granules: as you walk, the fine granules compact under normal pressure and precisely take on the contours of your foot. This creates a customised fit. An integrated channel then uses a pump to create a vacuum, permanently securing the fit.
The result is a noticeably improved distribution of pressure whilst walking and significantly greater comfort, particularly during long walks in everyday life.
FormStep is made entirely of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and is therefore recyclable as a single material. No additional adhesives or bonding layers are used. FormStep utilises an industrial manufacturing process to enable the creation of a bespoke product.
