We drew inspiration for the design of our hat from onion domes and church spires, and wanted to create a hat whose appearance was inspired by architecture. We also sought to incorporate delicate ornamental details onto the surface of our hat to explore how small details can be rendered through the processes of deep-drawing and pulping. We thus developed our design into an octagonal dome, onto which we applied the laser-cut ornamentation. Our hat is primarily intended for use in a theatrical or artistic context, and its aesthetic makes it appear as though it were part of ancient architecture or evokes the image of a war helmet from a bygone era.
